- Parallel: Full or partial flow bypass (branch pre & merge post existing WTP)
- Pretreat: First Desalus then existing WTP if helpful for permitting. Desalus makes lab-quality water (<10PPM on average, max 50PPM - minimal strain on other WTP).
- Fallback: Divert all flow to existing WTP in case force majeure or other rare event interferes with Desalus' facility
